Catherine Best, The Windmill

This project is located at the old windmill pub and restaurant and involved a complete strip out of the existing structure, refurbishment and redesign of the interior of the building, which included creating a new retail area/show room, jewellery workshops, restaurant and staff accommodation.

Within the existing windmill structure itself we created a basement area for the bar above, and a flat in the top of the building working within the circular and tapering fabric of the building which in itself threw up many obstacles including the creation of a bespoke timber staircase to gain access to this area.
